Frequently Asked Questions

Frames for Prints FAQ

Clear answers about our picture frames, mounts, glazing, delivery, returns, sizing, and support.

What do you sell?

We sell picture frames and picture frames with mounts. We do not currently sell prints as part of these products.

What makes your frames different?

Our frames are handmade to order in the UK, dispatched fast, and built by a team that has made and sold over 600,000 frames.

We focus on clean finishing, consistent sizing, true white-core mounts, safer styrene glazing, and low-friction customer support if anything goes wrong.

Are your frames made to order?

Yes. Every frame is made to order by hand in our UK workshop.

That means you get a freshly made frame, consistent quality, and fast dispatch without long waits.

What are your frames made from?

Our frames are made from high-quality PS moulding (polystyrene) with recycled content.

This gives a consistent finish, reliable stability, and a lower-impact material choice than fully virgin materials.

What mounts do you use?

Our mounts are 1mm thick, white on the front, and finished with a true white core.

We do not use cheap off-colour cores, so the bevel edge stays clean and bright white.

What glazing do you use?

All of our frames currently use styrene glazing rather than glass.

Styrene is lighter, safer in transit, and less prone to breakage. It is supplied with protective film on both sides, which should be removed before use.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer a full range of A sizes, rectangle sizes, and square sizes.

If you need a bespoke size, email info@framesforprints.co.uk.

Will my print fit properly?

Yes. We follow standard industry sizing and make our frames slightly oversized so prints fit comfortably.

Our mounts overlap the image by approximately 3mm on each side to help hold the artwork in place properly.

Do your frames come with stands or wall fixings?

Yes.

The following sizes include both a kickstand and wall hooks:

  • A6, A5, A4
  • 4x4 up to 12x12
  • 6x4 up to 14x11

All frames come with wall hooks for portrait or landscape hanging.

How long does dispatch take?

Most orders are dispatched within 1 working day, and all orders are dispatched within 2 working days.

Every order is sent on a next-day delivery service once it leaves us.

What delivery service do you use?

All orders are sent on a next-day delivery service once dispatched.

What is the order cut-off time?

Our daily cut-off time is 2:00pm.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is £4.99.

We offer free delivery on orders over £30.

Do you offer discounts for buying multiple frames?

Yes. We regularly run multi-buy offers across our frame range.

The best available discounts are shown on site or applied in your basket. Larger orders usually give better value than buying single frames one at a time.

Can I mix sizes and colours in one order?

Yes. You can order a mix of sizes and colours in the same basket.

This is useful if you are building a gallery wall, framing a set of prints, or ordering for multiple rooms at once.

Do you offer free delivery on larger orders?

Yes. Delivery is free on orders over £30.

That makes larger and multi-frame orders better value than buying individually.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Email us 2 photos: 1 photo of the damage and 1 photo of the packaging.

We will sort it quickly and cover the issue in full. You can choose a replacement or a refund.

Do I need to return damaged items?

No. We do not require damaged items to be returned.

Do you offer replacements or refunds?

Yes. If there is an issue, you can choose whichever you prefer: a replacement or a refund.

Replacement orders are made and dispatched within 2 working days.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day returns window.

If the problem is our fault, we cover the return cost.

You can read the full policy here: Returns Policy.

Can I return custom orders?

No. Custom orders cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, faulty, or defective.

What are the frame dimensions, depth, and rebate?

This varies by moulding.

All technical information is shown on the relevant product page towards the bottom.
